Chai Spice Mix

Make this warm and comforting chai spice mix for classic Indian masala chai in 5 minutes!

Ingredients

  • two 4 inches cinnamon sticks
  • 1 Ā½ Tbsp ginger powder
  • 1 Ā½ Tbsp green cardamom
  • Ā½ Tbsp black peppercorns
  • two small nutmegs
  • Ā½ Tbsp cloves
  • 1 Tbsp carom seeds
  • 1 Tbsp fennel seeds

Instructions

    1. Place all the ingredients into a spice grinder and grind to a powder.
    2. Use 1 - 1 ½ tsp of the spice mix to make 4 cups of masala chai.
    3. Store in an airtight jar in a dark place away from direct sunlight to last for a few months.
