Cool off with a refreshing mint lemon iced tea, a perfect blend of tangy lemon and soothing mint. This delicious and easy-to-make drink is ideal for warm weather and sure to be a crowd-pleaser.
Ingredients
- 1 cup fresh mint leaves (plus some extra sprigs for garnish)
- 6 cups of water
- ½ Tbsp loose black tea
- ¼ cup granulated sugar
- 1 tsp fennel seeds powder
- 4-5 lemons (small size)
Instructions
- Begin by blending mint leaves in a blender to form a paste.
- Add 2 cups of water, black tea, sugar, and fennel seeds powder in a saucepan. Bring this mixture to a boil, then simmer until the sugar dissolves. Remove from heat and let the tea cool to room temperature before further handling.
- Once cooled, strain the mixture in a pitcher, and add the pureed mint leaves, freshly squeezed lemon juice, and remaining cups of water. Stir and keep it in the refrigerator for 2-3 hours.
- Finally, serve your mint lemon iced tea chilled (or over ice cubes), garnished with lemon slices and additional mint leaves, and enjoy!
