  1. Use frozen bananas for natural sweetness and a thick creamy consistency.
  2. Add more cocoa powder or dark chocolate to make the recipe more decadent.
  3. Add more milk if you’d prefer a thinner shake.
  4. If desired, serve topped with ice cream or whipped cream with a dash of chocolate sauce.
  5. You can easily make this shake vegan by using vegan hazelnut butter and replacing milk with dairy-free milk such as oat, soy, or almond milk.
  6. With this recipe as a base, you can make other smoothie milkshakes: 
  • replace hazelnut butter with nutella, peanut butter, or any other nut flavor you’d prefer

Ingredients

  • For Smoothie
  • 2 frozen bananas

  • 2 Tbsp hazelnut butter

  • 1 Tbsp cocoa powder

  • 3-4 pitted dates

  • ¼ tsp pure vanilla extract

  • ⅛ tsp ground cinnamon

  • a pinch of salt

  • 1 ½ cup milk

  • For Toppings
  • granola

Directions

  • Add all the ingredients to a blender and blend on high until smooth.
  • Pour into a glass and top with granola.
  • Serve immediately, and enjoy!
